Precautions for Microcomputer Ash Melting Point Tester

1. The power supply of the control box of the ash melting point tester should be turned on when the experiment is started,  it should be turned off in time after the experiment is completed to avoid damage to the furnace heating element.

2. The low resolution of the computer's display should be 800×600.

3. The computer prohibits the use of screen savers.

4. The computer's monitor power management should be turned off.

5. The instrument must be well grounded.

6. When installing  disassembling the furnace, be careful  to damage the silicon carbon tube  subject the furnace body to strong vibration.

7. Do  use more than 30A current.

8. The instrument should be placed in a dry  ventilated place,  can  handle substances with high moisture in the furnace.

9. It is strictly forbidden to pass chlorine into the furnace,  do  use high sulfur content when using anthracite to control the gas composition.

10. When installing the furnace, make sure that there is a certain gap between the silicon carbon tube, the corundum boat  the outer tube, because in the determination of coal ash fusibility, CO is generated in the furnace,  silicon carbide will press SiC+ when the oxygen is insufficient. 1.5O2=SiO2+CO reaction type oxidation produces CO2, these CO will occur when oxygen is insufficient: 2CO=CO2+C reacts to precipitate carbon,  the precipitated carbon will form a short circuit if deposited in the gap of the thread band of the silicon carbon tube If the controller is burned out, a proper gap should be left between the silicon carbon tube, the corundum boat,  the outer tube to keep a small amount of air around the silicon carbon tube to burn the precipitated carbon  prevent local overheating.

11. There is a bare high voltage wire on the back of the ash melting point tester, please do  touch it. When moving the instrument, cut off the power first.

12. A serial port isolator must be plugged into the computer's nine-pin serial port.
